Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival Moved to Scope Arena Due to Inclement Weather Forecast
After carefully monitoring the weather and consulting with local and national weather partners, Norfolk Festevents has made the decision to relocate the festival to Scope Arena in the interest of public safety and operational readiness. The forecasted storms during the event setup window presented potential risks for crews, contractors, and volunteers, in addition to concerns about attendee comfort and safety. Relocating to Scope Arena allows us to prioritize the safety of everyone involved while still delivering the high-quality festival experience our guests expect. The event was originally scheduled to be held at Town Point Park. Norfolk Scope Arena is located at 201 East Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23510.
VENUE POLICIES: Due to the location change, no personal wagons, chairs, or coolers will be allowed into Scope Arena. This includes any outside food and beverages. Clear bags are not required; however, all bags are subject to search upon entry. For additional venue regulations, please visit SevenVenues.com.
TICKETHOLDERS: Advance ticketholders are encouraged to enter through the Exhibition Hall entrance. All other ticketholders, including Will Call and those guests purchasing tickets, need to enter through the Scope Box Office, located in the Scope parking garage at 201 East Brambleton Avenue.
PARKING: Parking is available in the Scope parking garage at 201 East Brambleton Avenue. Additional parking is available at the Charlotte Street Garage located at 253 East Charlotte Street and Bank Street Garage located at 130 Bank Street. Event rates apply.
The Norfolk Waterfront Jazz Festival is the area’s longest-running outdoor jazz festival and for the 43rd annual edition, the festival features a star-studded cast of some of the biggest names on the international smooth jazz scene. Due to inclement weather, the two-day festival will be held Friday & Saturday, August 21 & 22, 2026 at the Scope Arena in Downtown Norfolk.
