Norfolk, VA. Spring has Sprung at Town Point Park! And Festevents invites everyone to celebrate the change in seasons with the 1^st Annual Spring Fountain Fair.  We're opening the fountain - so put on your bathing suit, grab a towel and be part of this great family fun day in TowneBank Fountain Park.  Enjoy puppet shows, free rides, free cotton candy and balloons; good ol' fashion games and contests, corn hole and more! 

Norfolk Festevents will commemorate this special event with FREE family activities and entertainment. Spectrum Puppets will perform the spectacular Animal Crackers marionette puppet show.  The fair will feature FREE cakewalks, egg in spoon races, Hula Hoop contests, sack races, games of cornhole for children and adults, Ice Cream Sky Scraper building contest, FREE cotton candy and FREE balloons give-a-ways and more!

In addition, fair guests are invited to enjoy FREE rides on the G-Force Twin Spin or test their strength on the High Striker, to see who can ring the bell at the top of the tower. The Spring Fountain Fair will be open from 9am - 5pm; admission is FREE and open to the public.

...And while the children are wrapped up in lots of fun activity, mom or dad can stroll through the NEW Town Point Saturday Market.  This eclectic shopping experience will feature Hand Made, Hand Crafted, Home Made, and Home Grown products ranging from stain glass, jewelry, antiques, photography, paintings, prints, glassware and more. The Town Point Saturday Market will be open from 9am - 5pm; admission is FREE and open the public. Enjoy this weekly Market through the fall.

...So pack up the family and spend the day in TowneBank Fountain Park.  Omar's Fountain Café will be serving tasty Spring Fountain Fair foods and beverages for purchase. Picnic spreads are welcome.

The Kickoff to Town Point Saturday Markets

Norfolk Festevents, ltd is excited to introduce a new program for the 2010 season: Town Point Saturday Market. The markets will be located at Town Point Park on the Downtown Norfolk waterfront next to the Waterside Marina and TowneBank Fountain Park. This market series will ‘kick off' on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at our new Spring Fountain Fair and will run every Saturday until the end of October with additional holiday markets in November and December.

Our goal is to create a community market that brings our neighbors and visitors down to the waterfront every Saturday morning for shopping and socializing.

Stroll along the downtown waterfront and experience Norfolk's newest open air market where you will find rare and unique handmade items of the finest quality. Shop for items that are Hand-Made, Hand-Crafted, Home-Made, and Home-Grown from Hampton Roads' finest merchants.

Town Point Saturday Markets will also feature community groups and non profit organizations that will be offering information and promoting their causes. This is a great opportunity to learn about and support different organizations in your community.

Omar's Fountain Café will be open during the Town Point Saturday Market. The café will sell food and beverages for guests and merchants to enjoy while they spend their Saturday morning browsing and mingling.
